Kelton ‘Nspire Harper is a spoken word artist, producer, and motivational speaker. A Listening Room All-star he is also host of the upcoming TV show “The Artists' Platform."

The King and Queen of the Gut Bucket Blues, the legendary award winning SmokeHouse Porter and Miss Mamie return to the festival.

New to the festival is Southern Soul singer Tawanna Louis whose music video of “He Like It” was featured on the Henry’s Listening Room TV show.

The resident comic at Henry Turner Jr.s’ Listening Room, Eddie “Cool” Deemer, has an ability to string movie titles, candy and household products into stories that make people laugh. 

Jelly B & D’ Wolfe’s original songs cover blues, jazz, Hip Hop, R&B and Southern Soul with a twist of country. Joining the festival for the first time they also appear at Teddy’s Juke Joint.

Keyboardist Ervin "Maestro" Foster , drummer Jim Masters and bass player King Solomon are Henry Turner Jr.s’ Listening Room All Stars and House Band. Together they appear as My Better Half performing smooth jazz.  

The Phoenix Rouge Dance Studio was founded in 2019 by Gwenda Bourgeois. She and her Sassy Belles Troupe join the festival and will also do interactive demonstrations with festival goers.

Joining the festival as a host is actress and activist Arielle Butler Founder and CEO of Ariell’s Choice. 

The Juke Joint Juniors open the festival with some blues and are a part of the Blues After School program at the West Baton Rouge Museum.

Kevin White is a member of the Listening Room All-Stars. He joins us after spending years touring with Chris Thomas King nationally and abroad. 

Wyanda Paul returns to the festival. She is gospel jazz singer known for her outstanding performances, powerful voice and original songs filled with insightful and uplifting lyrics. â€‹

LA Groove Band Square.jpeg

The multi-genre dance band, LA Groove, joins the festival for the first time. They are Snerling J. Lockwood Jr. on lead vocals and bass, Lady Tee on lead vocals, Charles Alexander on guitar and Anthony ‘Pooh Bear’ Ebbs on drums.

Krazy D joins the festival in support of his current single, “Put Down Da' Guns” from this “Bog City” album. He was also the opening act for MC Nero. 

Katrina is an R&B singer who performs at Henry Turner Jr.s Listening Room.

Pastor Leon Hitchens performs his a gospel, soul singer and activist. He is also known for his upbeat personality and comedy songs. â€‹

Princess Teha is of Nigerian descent. She has been singing Contemporary Christian and Gospel Music since the age of four. Her angelic voice has been described as an awesome gift from God.

Xavie Shorts 2021.jpg

Xavie Shorts is an award-winning pop, blues and R&B singer/songwriter. His smooth singing style, combined with his contemporary lyrics always make the ladies smile. 

Documentary film director/producer, radio personality, author and activist, Gisele Haralson co-hosts the festival. She is the founder of A Celebration of Women and Executive Director of the Child Development Institute.

Eilene Rockette debuts her gospel/jazz set. She is also a member of the House of God Gospel Choir who has performed at several Soul Food Festivals. 

Kenalliya joins the festival with her style of R&B and alternative music. 

Ms. Pressure II.jpg

Ms. Pressure joins the festival for the first time with her brand of R&B. Her nickname is the South Baton Rouge Princess.

WHYR’s “The Heavy Lifting” radio host David Randall is well known for playing in the local traditional jazz band Florida Street Blowhards, jamming with various jazz ensembles, leading classic rock cover bands, singing with the BR Symphony Chorus and honing his singer/songwriter act.
